An Update on Faena Versailles

The hotly anticipated Faena Miami Beach – a mixed use development that spans 32nd to 36th street and includes spaces for hospitality, event, and retail – is now being joined by two new residential towers: Versailles Classic and Versailles Contemporary. Plans suggest these will be among the most coveted condos in the city.

The Classic building will be designed by William Sofield and offer only 22 units, while its Contemporary counterpart will feature 41 units designed by Brandon Haw. Both architects have a laudable track record for sleek and unique designs.

Versailles Classic will occupy the former Versailles Hotel’s prime location at 35th Street and Collins Ave. It will live up to its name by preserving the venerable building’s facade, grand lobby, terrazzo flooring and custom chandeliers, all dating back to the 1940.

All 22 of the building’s units will offer ocean views, and custom kitchens and bathrooms. Floorplans range from one to four bedrooms and from 1,034 square feet to 2,743 square feet; additionally, there will be two duplex penthouses with up to 7,300 square feet.

While the Classic maintains the iconic charm of Miami Beach history, the Faena Contemporary will complement it with the latest in modern design and architecture. Its 41 units will range from one to five bedrooms, and from 1,111 square feet to 5,469 square feet. It too will have a pair of deluxe penthouses, each exceeding 8,000 square feet and one coming with a massive infinity pool and 6,600-square-foot rooftop deck.

Amenities will include valet parking, storage spaces, two fitness centers, beautiful gardens by Raymond Jungles, and privileged access to many other offerings in the Faena district. Occupancy is planned for 2017 while closings are scheduled this spring.

With prices ranging from $3 million to over $50 million, these will no doubt be among the most sought after Miami Beach Condos on the market. Given that the 47-unit Faena House sold out quickly, expect a lot of buyers and investors clamoring for these limited edition deluxe units.
