The developer behind the much anticipated Surf Club Four Seasons condo-hotel in the town of Surfside is still hard at work adding the finishing touches to the project’s first phase, but there are already plans in the works to start devising the blueprints for the project’s second phase. The developer recently submitted an application detailing the plans to redevelop the land to the north of Surf Club with 54 additional condos.

Buyers from Latin America have become the number group seeking to invest in South Florida real estate. If we narrow it down to specifics, Colombians come out on top for the seventh consecutive month as the foreigners with the greatest interest in the market according to the Miami Association of Realtors. Just a couple of months after the Melody Tower topped off, the Melo Group developer announced its plans for a new project called Square Station earlier this year. The original plans for Square Station were to include a pair of 34-story towers but the project ran into a bit of a roadblock due to the 24-story zoning limitations. After running it by the city commission, Square Station was given the okay to go ahead with its original 34-story plan.
