The developer behind the much anticipated Surf Club Four Seasons condo-hotel in the town of Surfside is still hard at work adding the finishing touches to the project’s first phase, but there are already plans in the works to start devising the blueprints for the project’s second phase. The developer recently submitted an application detailing the plans to redevelop the land to the north of Surf Club with 54 additional condos.

The plans call for a demolishing of the mid-century apartment building currently found at 133 Collins Avenue in favor of a tower that will contain 38 condominium units. This tower will stand eleven stories tall. There are also proposed plans to overhaul Seaway Villas, a historic condominium that currently has 28 units. These units would be re-worked into a collection of 18 larger units with two bedrooms.

Surf Club Four Seasons is expected to be delivered by the end of the year. In its current form, the project would comprise nine acres featuring a pair of 12 story towers with 15 units plus the hotel which would have 80 rooms. The designer behind it is the acclaimed Richard Meier and the asking prices for the units are currently ranging between $3.4 million and $18 million.
